Ilker Ulubey

In 2025, I had the opportunity to meet İlker Ulubey when we were both invited speakers at the AI in Education Conference held at the University of Oxford. His innovative approach to artificial intelligence, language and visual storytelling immediately caught my attention.

Following our meeting, I invited İlker to deliver a full-day workshop for our MSc Marketing Science students at UCL School of Management. His session, “How to Turn Language into Video with AI,” was both inspiring and practical, equipping students with valuable skills they could apply immediately.

It was a great pleasure to collaborate with İlker. I wholeheartedly recommend him both as an educator and as a speaker.

I had the opportunity to meet İlker Ulubey in 2025 at the AI in Education at Oxford University conference at the University of Oxford, where we were both invited speakers. Since then, I have been deeply impressed by his creative vision, artistic design ability and command of contemporary media production.

İlker is one of those rare creative professionals who combines strong storytelling instincts with a sophisticated understanding of visual design, cinema and emerging artificial intelligence technologies. His work is not only technically impressive; it is also highly imaginative, compelling and emotionally powerful. He has an exceptional ability to transform an idea into a striking visual narrative, skilfully bringing together pacing, character, atmosphere, humour and cinematic quality.

Most recently, he created a fully AI-generated film trailer for his presentation at the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Academy within Newcastle Business School at the University of Newcastle. The result was exceptional: entertaining, highly refined, visually striking and close to the quality of a professional Hollywood production. What impressed me most, however, was the creative intention behind the work. İlker had a deep understanding of his audience, the context and the story he wanted to tell.

I will follow with great interest how İlker’s work develops in the future as a creative collaborator, media artist, filmmaker, presenter and visual storyteller.

I first met İlker Ulubey when we were both invited speakers at the 2025 AI in Education at Oxford University Conference. His presentation was engaging and thought-provoking, bringing artificial intelligence, education and storytelling together with clarity, creativity and a strong sense of purpose. I was particularly impressed by his ability to communicate complex ideas in an accessible and compelling way.

Since then, our professional connection has developed into a valued friendship shaped by mutual respect, meaningful intellectual exchange and a shared commitment to exploring responsible and innovative uses of AI in education.

With its close attention to technology, the Turkish National Paralympic Committee has also become an institution that invests in artificial intelligence, one of the forces reshaping the world.

Through our work with ProMedia Works AI, we have carried out pioneering collaborations across many areas of AI use.

From the world’s first Paralympic National Team anthem produced with artificial intelligence to promotional films created for our international events in the spirit of the times and attracting wide attention, we had the opportunity to experience today’s technologies first-hand.

ProMedia Works AI’s greatest contribution has been its proactive approach to following a technology landscape that now changes almost daily and integrating relevant developments into our committee. In a world where technology adoption and adaptation have become vital for institutions, the right collaboration model brings success with it.

As part of the 3rd AI in Education Summit, Mr Ulubey delivered a highly productive workshop entitled “Not AI Education, but Education Transforms AI”, focusing our teachers on real classroom practice rather than theory alone. While sharing concrete examples of effective AI use in education, he also drew attention to the changing and evolving role of the teacher. We thank him for his valuable contribution and inspiring training.

At Turkticaret.Net, we had a productive and successful collaboration with ProMedia Works in our digital marketing and social media management processes. I have had the opportunity to share a stage with İlker Ulubey as a speaker and also to work with him on the curation of a TEDx event. He is a knowledgeable expert with strong communication skills who closely follows global developments in artificial intelligence.

İlker Ulubey took part as a speaker in the talk titled “Artificial Intelligence and Its Transformative Impact” held at Doğuş University. He shared with our students a comprehensive perspective on the effects of artificial intelligence on today’s world and the future. Enriched with examples from culture and the arts and real-life stories, his presentation conveyed both AI technology and its impact on business, education and social transformation in a creative and engaging way.

He offered important assessments of the threats and opportunities presented by artificial intelligence, as well as the transformation processes ahead. We sincerely thank him for this valuable talk, which inspired our students and broadened their vision. We wish him continued success.

We had the opportunity to meet İlker Ulubey at the Future Cities Summit held at our university. Accepting our invitation, he joined the summit and addressed the transformative role of artificial intelligence in urban planning and architectural processes in his presentation, “The Transformation of Artificial Intelligence”.

By highlighting how data-driven decision-making processes shape the future of cities, the presentation was highly inspiring for both our academics and students. It stood out for his command of the subject, curiosity-provoking delivery and attention to original issues that are rarely discussed.

We also sincerely thank him for honouring us by joining voluntarily despite his demanding international schedule.

I sincerely thank İlker Ulubey for joining us as a speaker at our workshop hosted by Cağaloğlu Anatolian High School under the theme “Tomorrow Begins Today”.

It was extremely valuable to us that he reorganised his demanding schedule around his international plans, accepted our invitation and devoted his time to our students and teachers.

Through the knowledge, experience and inspiring perspective he shared, he not only informed our participants but also gave them greater courage to think, question and create for the future.

Meeting İlker was quite unusual. It turned out that we had known of each other for years, yet our paths had never crossed. We first worked together on one of the earliest music videos produced with artificial intelligence. Everything was very new to me and genuinely astonishing.

Seeing every movement I imagined instantly rendered as though it were real amazed me.

I could dance without dancing; I could see every outfit I chose on myself. People could accompany me, laugh and sing my song.

I was in a playground, and I had a great deal of fun.

Would I work with İlker and ProMedia Works again? Absolutely. On our next project, I would like us to bring together the creative possibilities offered by artificial intelligence with live-action filming, in a new experience where I am personally involved in the production.
